I am from Florida, the state with an abundance of sunlight and lush vivid foliage bathed with light and color. This vibrancy has been a constant source of energy in my artistic endeavors, informing my color spectrum and relationship with design.
My education began with a semester at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, where I studied Fine Arts later transferring to Ringling College of Art and Design in the spring. From there, I took up my period of Graphic Design and saw a seemingly natural attraction to the purity of digitally made work. I quickly realized the technology-based field was not my passion and returned to the essence of my practice: painting pieces by my hand and maintaining my admiration for abstraction and color. From here, I returned to Fine Arts receiving my BFA in May 2020. My senior year I was Co-Director and Curator at Crossley Gallery. I found the position incredibly rewarding, especially working with my fellow students and when an exhibition came together and we could celebrate at the reception. My work has been exhibited in a number of shows at the gallery as well in the Sarasota area.
