Originating in Florida, my education began with a semester at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, where I studied Fine Arts and later transferred to Ringling College of Art and Design in the spring. I graduated with my BFA in May 2020 and began my own business, SECM Studios, LLC., in January 2021. From there I began creating paintings for residential staging, commercial use, and murals for both private homeowners and businesses. These murals are free-hand painted with brushes, no spray.
Alongside these pieces, I enjoy my original practice that began my senior year of college. I take imagery that I associate with my life or that I find particularly striking and dissect it as I paint. I call these my "glitch" paintings, as they resemble a computer/digital malfunction. Oftentimes, these are made with realistic color palettes, so I enjoy switching things up with a bright pop of abstract every once in a while. I find they tend to be more expressive yet equally as eye-catching.
I've showed in a number of exhibitions with a large variety of styles and pieces. In addition, I've also curated and directed my own shows, some featuring a multitude of local artists and talents. I love collaborating with fellow artists and I'm open to any and all ideas when it comes to a commission or an original.
I offer a service for interior designers, home/office/commercial space staging where they may commission or rent a set of paintings. I work with all color palettes and styles. See "Commissions" under the "Work" tab for examples of past client work. Email email@example.com for more information.
For residential spaces: The client may rent the painting (either an original piece or a commissioned custom, sets included) for staging and if the homeowner decides to purchase the piece, the client would get a 40% cut of the total.
For commercial/office spaces: The client may purchase an individual piece or a set depending on what is needed to fill the space. Large sets (i.e. 20-30 canvases) take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete.
